It would be awesome to solve that massive cause of misunderstandings. The definition of the new term in wikipedia: "Linked Data is a sub-topic of the Semantic Web. The term Linked Data is used to describe a method of exposing, sharing, and connecting data via dereferenceable URIs on the Web." So it seems it is not exactely the same. Too bad. But Mr. Lee said:"Linked Data is the Semantic Web done as it should be.” So maybe (probably) this will become the popular term for the used to know "semantic web"; we are still not sure which term will prevail, we will discover it soon.
