Good on ya! The words "wife" and "proceed" are always spam. All they want to do is HARVEST your email address so they can send out thousands(over 5,000/day) commercial and devil harming emails to others.
You need to clear those for good OFF your computer, that is doable with advanced Norton programs and others like anti-Black Hole on the internet. It is often an jealous person who asks someone else more intellignet to have a bot, such as CA John to have a 'job' done of you.But they are never convincing. Most people don't scare. States and the Fed don'[t have, won't have the ambition to intercept bad internet traffic.
It's DIY, bere, man.

I have gotten a lot of those 'auto reply' messages. They act like they are interested in what I'm 'selling' which a lot of times is stuff like childcare and pet sitting so it doesnt make any since. And when I reply to them I get an auto reply warning me about selling stuff on CraigsList. It's ALWAYS the same message too! It totally pisses me off!! Is there anyway I can make these stop? Thanks!

I'm sorry to say but I can't really see anyones point here! When I drive there is a chance I will be stopped by police, when I watch TV there is a good chance I will see commercials, when I open my e mail there is a good chance I am going to have e mail sent to me that I did not ask to receive and when I open my mail box at my house there is a good chance there will be a piece of mail that I did not ask for from some company trying to get my money. There are things to be expected in life depending on what you participate in, I can't believe I've actually taken the time out of my life to write this, maybe just to say..... do something else besides worrying about emails, the spammers are for the dumb people who fall for it ~

I wouldn't trust someone long-distance thru craigslist unless I can see who they are by googling their email address, looking them up on pipl.com or myspace etc...

Also, certain ads get a lot of responses that appear to me to be from bots, or software agents that crawl craigslist and respond to ads automatically.

If there's nothing specific to your ad in the response, and the person is long distance, and you can't find them online, I wouldn't even bother to respond to their email. I think all it will get you is a lot of viagra and casino emails in the future.

eBay is set up better for long distance because people have a track record.

As for as paypal goes, I think paypal is great. And I don't think you can un-paypal someone like you can with a credit card payment.

And don't be cynical. Most people out there are perfectly willing to pay for what they buy and most people are fairly honest. And it's a lot of trouble to go looking for ways to rip people off. It's much easier to live an honest life and treat others around you with respect.

I have gotten a few of these myself and they really piss me off!! However I have gotten some that sound kinda legit, but in my ad I posted I stated must be local and cash only so then they say they will send me the money via paypal!! And I have had a paypal account for a couple years now and do trust them. However am I to trust these people to send the money to my paypal account and know that everything will go ok? Any comments, or advice would be very helpful!! email me with them at ibstormn@gmail.com
